Guidelines for 2018-2019 Spring Semester International Students at Tianjin Normal University
Dear prospective students:
Congratulations! You have become a member of Tianjin Normal University. In order to ensure your registration of studying at Tianjin Normal University timely and successfully, please read our guidelines for 2019 newly international students carefully and prepare well in accordance with relevant requirements before you set off.

1) Please be sure to enter into China with your student visa (X1 or X2 visa) and register for your study within the prescribed time. According to our regulations, the student who cannot arrive on time due to some special cases must ask for leave from the Office of International Programs and the related college. Otherwise, the admission qualification will be canceled if the student fails to register within TWO weeks or the leave has not been approved.
2) Required Documents: the original copies of Admission Notice, Visa Application Form for International Students to Study in China (JW201/202), Foreigner Physical Examination Form and blood test report(s); 6 Passport Size Photos; Notarized Highest Diploma; the copies of front page of passport and student visa (X1 or X2 visa).

Means of Transportation
a) From Beijing Capital International Airport To Tianjin Normal University (Jinlihao Hotel)
1.Take the airport bus from Gate 3, Terminal 3, Beijing Capital International Airport / Gate 15, Terminal 2 to Tianjin West Passenger Station (Price: at around 82 Yuan per ticket, Duration: 2 hours and 45 minutes).
2.Take taxi to get Tianjin Normal University (Jinlihao Hotel)( Expenses: at around 30 Yuan)
Or take metro line 1 or line 6 from Tianjin West Station, and transfer metro line 5 to Lingbin Road Station, walk for 200 meters to get Tianjin Normal University (Jinlihao Hotel).
b) From Beijing Capital International Airport To Tianjin Normal University (Balitai Campus)
1.Take the airport bus from Gate 3, Terminal 3, Beijing Capital International Airport / Gate 15, Terminal 2 to Tianjin West Passenger Station(Price: at around 82 Yuan per ticket, Duration: 2 hours and 45 minutes).
2.Take taxi to get Tianjin Normal University (Balitai Campus) (Expenses: at around 20 Yuan).
Or take metro line 1 or line 6 from Tianjin West Station, and transfer metro line 3 to get (Wujiayao Station), walk for 200 meters to get Tianjin Normal University (Balitai Campus).
c) From Tianjin Binhai International Airport To Tianjin Normal University (Jinlihao Hotel)
Take taxi to Tianjin Normal University (Jinlihao Hotel) (Expenses: less than 100 Yuan)
Or take metro line 2 from Binhai International Airport Station, and transfer metro line 5 to Lingbin Road Station, walk for 200 meters to get Tianjin Normal University (Jinlihao Hotel).
d) From Tianjin Binhai International Airport To Tianjin Normal University (Balitai Campus)
Take taxi to Tianjin Normal University (Balitai Campus) (Expenses: less than 100 Yuan)
Or take metro line 2 from Binhai International Airport Station, and transfer metro line 3 to Wujiayao Station, walk for 300 meters to get Tianjin Normal University (Balitai Campus).
Free pick up date for 2018-2019 spring semester is from February 25th to 26th. Students who need a free airport pickup should submit the AIRPORT PICKUP APPLICATION FORM by February 15th, 2019 through the following ways:

Tips for Safety
1. Personal and Property Safety
(1). International students must strictly abide by the Chinese laws and regulations. All the students must pay attention to personal safety and property to prevent accidents.
(2). All the students should ask for leave in advance when going outside, and keep in touch with classmates and teachers.
(3). Contact with your related teachers when any accident occurs.
(4). Take good care of personal property, and be careful when dealing with property transaction.
(5). Student cards, personal passports and bank cards must not be lent or leased to others.
(6). Do not trust the leaflets and publicity materials easily on one hand, and beware of strangers on the other.
(7). In order to protect privacy, never reveal any personal information to strangers.
2. Dormitory Safety
(1). International students must strictly abide by the university rules and regulations on accommodation.
(2). All the students must keep the dorm well-organized and clean and cooperate with dorm administrator for regular checking.
(3). All the students must strictly abide by the schedule of work and rest. Please keep the dormitory quiet after 22:00, behavior like making noise, speaking loudly, using audio and computer to disturb others is prohibited.
(4).The following illegal electrical appliances in the dormitory are prohibited: water heater, electric stove, electric blanket, electric cooker, electric heating fan and other electric heating equipment which without automatic power-off protection device; the electrical appliances above 300W; electrical appliances without 3C certification (China Compulsory Certification).
(5). Cooking in the dormitory is prohibited. International students should cook in public kitchen, pay attention to electrical safety, and keep kitchen clean.
(6). Smoking in dormitory is prohibited to prevent fires.
(7). Lock the doors and windows when you leave dorm. Keep your valuable things and personal ID carefully and be sure to deposit cash in the bank.
3. Social Interaction Safety
(1). Respect customs of different countries and get along well with each other. Respect other people’s lifestyle and considerate each other.
(2). Students renting outside should build good relationship with neighbors.
(3). Students should organize collective activities as school request.
(4). Students should enhance security awareness and improve self-protection in public places. Do not trust strangers, and enhance the ability to distinguish right from wrong.
4. Internet Security
(1). Students should strictly abide by the provisions of Chinese laws, regulations and the school's regulations when surfing Internet. Students must not access to illegal websites and spread harmful information.
(2). Students should try to avoid using real names and not reveal personal information while chatting online.
(3). For the safety of personal accounts and passwords, students should choose legal and reputable website to conduct transactions.
5. Public Safety
(1). Students should go to regular business places, and remember to ask for invoice after eating, lodging, shopping. When taking taxi, request for invoice and check belongings carefully before you get off.
(2). Students should put backpack in front of yourself and be vigilant against theft in public places like stations, scenic spots and shops.
(3). For property safety, students should not put bags on the back seat or in the basket when riding.
(4). Students should not leave valuables like bags, clothes, mobile phone and wallet randomly to prevent from being stolen.
6. Fire Safety
(1). Use electrical appliances properly and turn off electrical equipment when leaving dorms.
(2). Do not throw cigarette butt everywhere. Open fire indoors is forbidden.
(3). Do not move or break fire extinguishers. Do not block Fire Engine Access.
(4). Students should clear away the rubbish in time and should not put them randomly to prevent fires.
(5). Once catching fires, use wet towel to cover your mouth and nose.
(6). When passing through dense smoke, lower your body to the ground to avoid the risk of choking.
(7). Remember fire exit, and do not use elevator when building is on fire.
7. Traffic Safety
(1). For your traffic safety, abide by traffic laws and regulations.
(2). It is not permit to use motorcycles (with gasoline engine) on and off campus.
(3). Slow cycling and not chase each other.
(4). No drunk driving.
(5). Take regular transportation when going outside.
