This course aims at cultivating international students, especially those whose mother tongue is English or lingua franca is English, to be interested in Chinese language and culture, and deepening their understanding of Chinese culture and regional characteristics so as to help them master Chinese language in a more thorough way. This course would also help students to eliminate their negative impact and negative emotions due to improper cross-cultural communication on their language learning, so that students can be more interested in studying and living in China.

In recent years, the number of foreign students in Tianjin Normal University has been ranking top among universities in Tianjin. In addition to students from Thailand, Kenya, South Korea, Russia and other countries, we also have exchange students from Northern Europe, Central and Eastern Europe and other countries, as well as short-term scholars from the United States and Australia.
