Emphasis: This course aims at enabling students to have a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of Chinese culture and make them interested in exploring and learning Chinese culture and understanding the manifestation of culture in life as well as its impact on daily life and values so that students can be aware of cultural differences in the process of communication with Chinese people and the resulting problems, and can understand Chinese culture to communicate with the Chinese more smoothly.

Challenges: Since China has a long history and profound culture, it is necessary to strive to explore more intuitive and effective ways of expression to choose a representative cultural phenomenon so as to enable students to deeply understand the philosophical thinking and aesthetic value of Chinese culture.

Solutions: This course will select a representative of the cultural phenomenon, dig the ideological content and thinking mode, and systematically prepare the outline and lesson plans, with extensive references to domestic and foreign literature on cultural theory and cultural communication. It will use multimedia teaching methods, strengthen practice and training, innovative teaching mode and content, and improve students’ participation, to fully realize the task-based teaching.
